AgDevCo is the lead investor and developer of Katito Farm, partnering with two other shareholders. Katito produces mainly high quality seed potatoes under irrigation alongside seed potato grading and handling and cold storage infrastructure.
Seed potatoes are grown at high altitude in the winter (dry season), when the risk of disease and pest infestation is at its lowest. The potatoes are stored in climate-controlled warehouses and distributed to farmers the following dry season.
AgDevCo has supported Katito with TA with financial and operational management via consultants including capacity building for staff.
