Ruth joined AgDevCo in 2022 as an IPM specialist. She has over 25 years of technical experience in tropical agriculture. Ruth started her agricultural career running a large-scale commercial organic vegetable farm in East Africa before joining a cut flowers breeder. Ruth ran a commercial rose farm for seven years where she was involved in developing a unique GPS scouting system and biological pest programs for IPM in greenhouse roses. Ruth then moved to run Dudutech, a forerunner biopesticide company, developing, registering, and producing biological pest control and soil health solutions for agriculture. Before joining AgDevCo, Ruth was the Technical Director at CropNuts involved in training, testing and delivering soil and plant health solutions and advising on food safety and pesticide residue reduction for commercial export agriculture. Ruth is passionate about soil health, food safety and biological solutions. In her spare time, Ruth runs an NGO Health Clinic in the local village and loves to garden.
