SDU role

SDU is working with SAN-JFS, the oldest cotton production, processing and exporting company in Mozambique. This partnership will build on SAN-JFS’s outgrower programme, supporting smallholder productivity through the development and improvement of trainings provided through extension service officers. These will focus on good agricultural practices, climate smart agriculture and health and safety, using innovative approaches to engage with younger people. To reduce labour intensity, a selection of smallholders will also be provided with inputs such as tractors, spray barrows and planters.
