John Jakobsson
Investment Director
John is responsible for investments across the East Africa region, notably having led AgDevCo's first investments in aquaculture and forestry.
He has more than twelve years of investment experience in Africa having lived and worked in Mozambique, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Mauritius and Kenya. Prior to joining AgDevCo, John worked at a Swedish venture philanthropy fund, a Swiss asset management company and before that in a Zimbabwean diversified agribusiness corporate. He started his career in leveraged and acquisition finance with NatWest Group in London.
John holds a BSc (Hons) in Management from the University of Warwick, an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics and has served in the Swedish Armed Forces with deployments to Central Asia and the Balkans.
